Nestled in a 650-acre countryside estate, surrounded by manicured gardens and complete with its own 15-acre lake and pontoon, our venue is located in Wales’s spectacular Vale of Glamorgan. But that’s not all! Hensol Castle is an exclusive use wedding venue, which means you get the entire castle and the grounds to yourself for the whole day. You won’t have to share the castle with anyone except your guests. You really will feel like royalty!
The Grounds
Hensol Castle sits in an incredible 650 acres of rolling Welsh countryside. The castle grounds are brimming with unique photo opportunities – from our landscaped courtyard to our tranquil lake, with its picturesque pontoon, take your pick! You’ll also find plenty of hidden nooks and spaces to enjoy a quiet romantic moment and take a breather in the middle of your busy day. On sunnier days guests can enjoy an outdoor drinks reception in front of the castle and even a quick game of croquet on our perfectly manicured lawn!
The Castle Venue
Your wedding guests will be greeted on arrival with a welcome drink in our grand reception room and will have full use of the castle for the day – so welcome them in style! There are plenty of unique spaces where everyone can mix, mingle and relax, including our gorgeous courtyard garden and impressive front lawn overlooking our beautiful grounds. Our luxurious and cosy drawing room, with its high ceilings and beautiful fireplace, is the perfect place to take a little downtime between the wedding ceremony and celebrations!
